For folks with serious food allergies, dining out can be a real challenge — unless they happen to eat somewhere like Odd Duck. Bryce Gilmore's second restaurant is not messing around when it comes to diners' food allergies; on a daily basis, the restaurant prints a whopping seven different menus catering toward the major food allergies — celiac, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, tree nut-free, dairy-free, and shellfish-free. As Eater National reveals in an in-depth feature on how restaurants cater to diners with food allergies, "Odd Duck's commitment goes beyond the menus, too. The Austin restaurant trains its reservationists, hosts, and servers to ask about food allergies and dietary restrictions."
