Happy birthday to beloved bar Hole in the Wall, which celebrates 40 years in biz this week. Despite the bar's more recent updates (like, say, East Side King) plenty of history remains intact, including "the arrow showing where Courtney Love allegedly snorted cocaine the night before her frazzled talk at SXSW in 1999."
