The Scarlet Rabbit is inching closer to opening in Round Rock, with a soft opening expected to occur in the next couple weeks. Per a post to its Facebook page, the Alice in Wonderland-themed restaurant is now hiring for front and back of house positions. Interested parties who are prepared to descend the rabbit hole should drop off a resume between 12-4 p.m. today at The Scarlet Rabbit, or stop by Greenhouse Craft Food.
Brought to you by Greenhouse Craft Food chef Rob Snow and Rich Taylor, formerly of Quality Seafood, The Scarlet Rabbit promises to be "a whimsical, 'black tablecloth' Texas bistro" specializing in "creative comfort food" and themed craft cocktails. Designer Sonja Snow clearly isn't taking the restaurant's inspiration lightly; as previously explained in a press release, the inside bar will be "festooned with ornamental hares and backwards running clocks." Progress photos posted to Facebook and Instagram reveal patio features like brightly painted picnic tables and a miniature door set into a tree with the address marked 410 1/2 (the restaurant is at 410 West Main Street).
