June Rodil IN as Beverage Director for McGuire Moorman

Top Austin sommelier June Rodil's passion for wine has lead her to take a position as McGuire Moorman's new Beverage Director. News broke earlier today that Rodil left her post as director of operations at Qui and East Side King; CultureMap previously reported that she had left to run Jeffrey's wine program. Read Rodil's full official statement below.

After careful consideration and discussion, I've decided to take the position of Beverage Director for McGuire Moorman Hospitality group. I'll be based at Jeffrey's and their offices but will oversee all beverage programs for the company. I love qui, especially the amazing staff, but this is an opportunity to get back into wine, sprits, and beverages on a day to day basis and with multiple outlets. While the experiences of being a Director of Operations were invaluable, I can now apply those broader management skills to something that I truly love (yep! booze!), and a on a much larger scale than I've ever worked with in the past. I'll miss qui and East Side Kings tremendously, but will happily see them on a regular basis at a patron, neighbor, and friend.
Rodil previously served as beverage director for David Bull's Congress restaurants, as well as wine director at Uchiko, which means she's now had a hand in shaping the beverage programs of four major Austin fine dining destinations.
