New pizzeria and restaurant Fire in the Hole officially opened in Round Rock. The menu is built around wood-fired pizza under the headers of "familiar" and "speciality," as well small plates like fried cauliflower and portuguese octopus. Chowhounders have discovered the restaurant, and user jwynn2000 calls the pizza "excellent." The restaurant launched lunch service this week as well.
Fire in the Hole announced their concept back in February, and they join Greenhouse Craft Food in a growing trend to bring local restaurants to Round Rock. Owner Jonathan Creasey previously owned a group of Domino's franchises before deciding to ditch the corporate chains.
