VIVO, Austin's Favorite Modern Tex Mex Restaurant,
Will Open at The Linc Under New Ownership

Austin, TX (May 5, 2014) -- VIVO, Austin's favorite Tex Mex restaurant, today announced plans to open early summer at their new VIVO at The Linc, formerly the Lincoln Village. Under new ownership, VIVO will feature a large patio for al fresco dining, an expanded menu, plenty of parking, and a great happy hour Monday – Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with an expanded appetizer and small plates menu.

"We are excited to be one of the first tenants at The Linc," says General Manager, Cenaida Rincon. "We know this area of Austin has undergone a revitalization that offers businesses like ours a great opportunity for expansion."

The new VIVO location at The Linc will have a large kitchen allowing for an expanded menu that will move toward a more modern take on Tex Mex and gives VIVO the ability to provide more creative options like the Pambazo, a Mexican sandwich dipped in a guajillo paste. The new VIVO will also showcase a wonderful aesthetic with plants and fountains, bringing a great vibe to The Linc.

VIVO will also showcase a wonderful selection of handcrafted and sustainable tequilas and mezcals curated by tequila enthusiast, Lance Cullison. Cullison plans to create tequila-tasting events and classes on tequila and mezcal at VIVO.

VIVO has announced they will partner with Austin-based AIDS services agencies to donate a percentage of sales made on Sundays.

"Austin's LGBT community has always supported previous VIVO restaurants and has been some of the most loyal customers over the years," says Rincon. "We are happy to give back to a community that has been so good to other Vivo restaurants."

VIVO's Sunday brunch, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., will feature a wide-range of menu items, discounted mimosas and rotating tequila specials highlighting a different style of tequila each week.
