Rosedale cafe and grocery Épicerie switches from counter service over to full table service today. Chef Sarah McIntosh says in a press release that the move is designed to better serve their booming customer base.
I never dreamed we would be this busy, and because of that delightful surprise, my staff and I want to do everything we possibly can to accommodate our loyal patrons and make their Épicerie experience as special and seamless as possible.The restaurant launched with counter service, which drew mixed reviews from critics. In addition to switching to table service, the cafe is adding more seating, and will maintain a number of "community" tables. Statesman critic Matthew Odam is a fan of the switch.
