Chef Opens in Austin Tonight; Rio's on Hiatus; Black Sheep Lodge's Crawfish Boil

FOOD ON FILM — Jon Favreau's new movie Chef opens in Austin this weekend, after premiering at this year's SXSW. Check out Eater's round up of reviews (and their terrible terrible food pun headlines), as well as Eater's interview with Favreau. The movie was partially shot in Austinl barbecue mayor Aaron Franklin has a cameo, as does Guero's. [Eaterwire]

EAST SIDERio's Brazilian Cafe announces via Facebook that they will shutter temporarily. They are "looking to reopen in two weeks," and ask for customer's patience. No reason for the sudden temporary shutter is given. [Rio's]

SOUTH LAMAR — Looking for a crawfish boil to hit this weekend? Black Sheep Lodge is hosting theirs on Saturday, May 24 starting at 2 p.m. They promise "1,400 lbs of Crawfish! Boiled with corn, potatoes, sausage, garlic and onions. It is $8 per scoop which is about a pound and a half." [Eaterwire]
