Not One But Two Lustre Pearls to Rise From The Ashes

Many heralded Lustre Pearl's shutter earlier this spring as an end of an era for Rainey Street, but that era will not be over for long. Bar maven Bridget Dunlap tells Eater that a new Lustre Pearl will open at 94 Rainey Street, more or less across the street from the original site. Dunlap is also in the process of finalizing a lease for a site in East Austin which will host the original Lustre.

Lustre Pearl shuttered to make room for a new high rise development on the site, and Dunlap has long maintained she intends to physically move the bar rather than see it torn down.
