Under the radar (by Austin standards) barbecue phenom Micklethwait Craft Meats has a new trailer in the works, according to blogger Lisa Rawlinson of Full and Content. Owner Tom Micklethwait has partnered with his former Vespaio co-workers Bobby Lovelett and Giovanni Ortiz to launch a new "craft meats" trailer that will eschew barbecue in favor of other iterations of cured, smoked meats.
In addition, the business's tiny South Bites trailer might pop up at a local farmer's market soon. Micklethwait tells Rawlinson that business doubled between October and January, and "between January and March, it doubled again." Rawlinson will also collaborate with the trailer on a summer movie series.
