The redevelopment around The Highland Mall will create a number of new schmancy restaurant spaces. The Lincoln Village shopping center has been rebranded as The Linc, because everyone knows lopping off letters makes a name cooler. Anchored by the Marchesa Theater, the redevelopment plans include an image of a restaurant row whose "creative signs that will reflect the diversity and energy of the surrounding communities."
No word on actual tenants, and the language does not specifically commit to bringing in local businesses over chains. The press releases emphasizes the proximity of both the ACC campus in the former Highland Mall and I-35, as well as the options for "al fresco dining." Wild speculation welcome.
