South Lamar Italian newcomer Aroma Italian Kitchen and Bar launched their website, which includes a full menu. The restaurant will serve Neapolitan pizzas made with Italian San Marzano tomatoes and in-house mozzarella from "milk from cows raised in West Texas in a semi-wild state." The menu also features a pasta section, a selection of meat and fish entrees, appetizers and salads. The restaurant plans to source locally "whenever possible," the buzzphrase of the moment.
The restaurant is a collaboration between executive chef Jason Garcia, previously of San Antonio, and former Threadgill's GM Dave Whitney. They are currently hiring, with a grand opening planned for 'April 2014.'
