Vice's rowdy late night cooking show Munchies takes a tour around late night Austin with pastry chef Callie Speer and the Swift's Attic crew. Executive chef Mat Clouser and sous chefs Zack Northcutt and Abby Yates join Speer at The Backspace, Justine's, and The Liberty.
Speer pins Austin's food renaissance on local chefs who came up together "doing their own thing," and says that chef Shawn Cirkiel was an important mentor. The night ends with a poutine bar back at Swift's. Presumably, Ramen Tatsu-Ya's episode is coming soon.
