Two New Food Trucks Opening on East Side for SXSW

Two new food trucks are launching on East 6th just in time to serve hungry SXSW crowds. Kyoten, which specializes in "high-level sushi and rice bowls" will open officially tomorrow, March 5th at 1211 East 6th. Chefs Otto Phan and Leo Rodriguez have spent time in high end kitchens like Masa/Bar Masa and Nobu in New York and Austin's Uchi/Uchiko, as well more casual Ramen Tatsu-Ya and Kome. They refer to Kyoten as a "traileraunt" since it resides in its own specially-constructed park with a "zen rock garden."

Another new trailer Korean Komfort will make its debut at 1100 East 5th, right across from the Fader Fort. They don't have an official menu yet, but their flyer features BiBimBop, Korean wings, and kimchi fried rice. The trailer opens officially on March 7, and will remain in that location until March 16.
