Austin Tex Mex institution Tamale House on Airport Boulevard was "a subculture onto itself" in 1999, according to a documentary now available on YouTube. The film was made "in the late 1990s" by filmmaker Susannah Erler, and is available until April 15. Tamale House East, which is run by the grandchildren of the original Tamale House owners, posted a link to the video on Facebook earlier today, and remarked, "Some things have changed but many things have stayed the same!"
