Hightower's SXSW Lunch Menu; Barlata's Flamenco Night; Mac n' Cheese Takedown at Shangri-La

EAST 6THShangri-La will host a mac n' cheese takedown on Sunday, March 9 from 2-4 p.m. Fifteen dollars buys unlimited mac n' cheese plus judging privileges. Cooks who wish to compete should email here. [Eaterwire]

Fried smelt, pinto beans, tomatillo, jalapeño puree
Blistered green beans, faro, honey mustard, candied pecans, leeks, mint
escabeche with caraway ranch
fries - cheddar sauce, crema, pinto beans, jalapeno puree
carnitas bruschetta - grilled sourdough, black thunder beer/cheese soup, mustard greens, radish
hanger bruschetta - grilled sourdough, charred tomatoes, oyster mushrooms, shallot, aioli
