Another long-in-the-making restaurant project opened on East 7th this weekend. The Silo on 7th opened its doors on Saturday, two and a half years after first breaking ground. The restaurant previously told Eater that they will focus on burgers, local craft beers, and Texas liquors.
The space features rooftop seating and parking. The site originally housed a historic tortilla factory; the silo was used to store corn. Watch this space for more updates on their hours and menu.
Update! Silo on 7th will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight six days a week, and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. They are serving a "condensed" menu for SXSw, and will be "unveiling" one burger a day for the duration of the festival.
