Bacon and Beer Festival; Wine and Vegan Cheese Tasting; Swift's Attic Hosting a Benefit

BACONBEERLANDEdible Austin and Eat Boston have teamed up to host the first ever Austin Bacon and Beer Festival on Saturday, February 22. The event will take place from 2:30-5:00 p.m. at the Marchesa, and will feature lots of bacon-centric offerings from local restaurants as well as local breweries and a butchering demonstration from Salt & Time. EAST SIDE — Hate bacon and beer but love wine and vegan food? Counter Culture has the event for you. Also on Saturday, February 22 from 3-6 p.m., they'll be hosting a tasting of wines from Kenwood Winery in Sonoma County, as well as local Becker Winery from Fredericksburg, TX. DOWNTOWNSwift's Attic is hosting a benefit for MDA in Austin, an organization fighting neuromuscular diseases this Sunday, February 9. Tickets for the four-course dinner are $75; the dinner starts at 6 p.m. Those interested should RSVP here. [Eaterwire]
