Farmers' Market Update

Kate Thornberry at the Austin Chronicle has posted a comprehensive and photo-filled look at current offerings at the multiple Farmers' Markets around town. The lengthy piece covers everything from laundry soap to jumbo shrimp. It also mentions an ongoing fundraiser for Winfield Farm and Hillside Farm, both of whom lost barns and animals in recent fires. Perhaps the most interesting tidbit, though, is that Dewberry Hills Farm is currently running short on chicken due to freezing temps in the Northern US preventing regular shipments of chicks in the mail.
