Texas Monthly has released their official lists of Texas's top ten new restaurants and bars; three Austin restaurants and two Austin bars made the cut. On the restaurant side, Andrew and Mary Catherine Curren's casual French Arro gets a nod, as does Jesse Herman's Australian-style Thai at Sway. Buzziest of all buzzy new restaurants Qui was already confirmed for the restaurant list.
Qui is also one the magazine's top ten new bars, along with other East Sixth hotspot Whisler's. Right now just the list is online; the full "Where to Eat Now" issue hits the stands on Thursday.
Update! Texas Monthly confirms that the list is ranked. Restaurant-wise, Arro came in at #5, Sway at #7 and Qui at #8, with Dallas's Spoon Bar and Kitchen in the number one spot. Qui is Texas Monthly's pick for the best new bar in the state, with Whisler's coming in at number two.
