The Peached Tortilla, the Asian/Southern fusion comfort food truck, finally opened its brick-and-mortar doors last week to the public. The Allandale restaurant, helmed by Eric Silverstein, is currently only open for dinner. The menu features old favorites like banh mi tacos and bacon jam fries alongside new ones such as a shareable "Blistered Catfish Bowl" with a 45-minute egg. The full bar has an extensive, dedicated whiskey list, which includes some Texas-distilled options. Cocktails include concoctions like the Margarita de Peached with habanero tequila and Thai basil, as well as a tasty-sounding Texas spin on the classic shandy made with Fireman's #4 and Argus Cidery's pineapple-based tepache.
The restaurant is closed Mondays, but will reopen tomorrow (and every other Tuesday through Sunday) at 5 p.m. Scope out the full dinner and cocktail menus below:
