Los Angeles Thai Pop-Up Storms Into Austin on Their Southwest Tour

Pranom will descend on Handle Bar downtown on January 2.

A Thai street food pop-up from Los Angeles will ply Austin with pad thai in the New Year. Pranom will cook at Handle Bar from 7:00 p.m. - close on January 2. According to CultureMap Dallas, the events will feature a limited, affordable menu:

Kasestatad says the events in Austin and Dallas will definitely be casual, with a couple of courses, possibly pad Thai, pad see ew or drunken noodles, costing a flat fee from $12 to $16, depending on venue. "We'll probably do seatings so we can get the food out, so we recommend you call ahead of time and get your name on the list," he says.

Behind the project is actor and producer Dream Kasestatad, whose family owns several Thai restaurants in Lubbock.
