The Omelettry’s move to Airport Boulevard is finally underway. According to their Facebook page, the Austin institution received construction permits and installed new signage onto their Concorde Center building. Until the new spot opens early next year, the current Burnet Road eatery will stay open for everyone’s all-day breakfast needs.

Kenny Carpenter opened The Omelettry in 1978, and currently runs it with his son, Jesse. The duo tried to buy the building with every ten-year lease renewal, but the landlord didn’t want to sell it until earlier this year for a substantial amount of money. The Carpenters couln’t afford the new price, so they looked elsewhere for a new restaurant space. They signed the lease for the new Airport Boulevard space in March.
