Two of Austin’s loves, together at last.

Local Austin company Moniker Guitars launched a Kickstarter campaign for its newest line: the Texas BBQ guitar series. Three styles of guitars in the line are available for purchase through the campaign. It even comes with a branded TX BBQ truss rod cover. Prices range from the early bird special of $1,050 to $3,200 for all three guitars. Moniker partnered with CultureMap to give away one special guitar stained with Black’s Barbecue sauce.

As for the reasoning behind their chosen muse, co-owner Kevin Tully told CultureMap:

"We latched on to the 'BBQ' theme because barbecue is another part of Austin that we love and, of course, barbecue is a little sloppy, a little messy and conjures up images of wood and other natural elements in the process."
