From Americanized-Chinese fare to Korean-Mexican fusion, the space at 1509 S. Lamar Blvd. is seeing a quick turnaround from the former A-OK Chinese (shuttered last Wednesday) to a brick and mortar version of popular food truck Chi'Lantro. Austin 360 reports that owner Jae Kim will release more details next week, and according to the Chi'Lantro Facebook page, they expect to open January 2015.

At the beginning of 2014, Kim told Eater the food truck was looking to expand to a permanent location. At the time, they had an eye on a smaller space at 823 Congress Ave., but that address remains without the famed kimchi fries. Keep an eye here for updated details.

UPDATE: Kim says that the downtown space is still in the works. More Chi'Lantros means more chances for Seoul burritos.
