Downtown fine dining destination Congress nabbed a new executive pastry chef. Michelle Arcilla is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu and worked in Michelin-starred kitchens like Michael Mina, Campton Place, and Masas. Before Congress, she ran the pastry side at Jeffrey's, under former Congress chef Rebecca Meeker. Executive chef David Bull shares the following comment in the press release:
"It's great to have Michelle back in the Congress kitchen where we are able to provide a platform for her to express her personality and talent," says Chef Bull of Congress. "Her drive and work ethic push those around her to be their best while continuously pushing her desserts to the next level. Michelle's plates bring a sense of refined comfort to the menu with her brown butter apple tart or pumpkin semifreddo. Her goal is to make our guests happy with a fun and delicious approach."
