A teenager accused of burglarizing several East Austin restaurants has been arrested. According to KVUE, police say 17 year old Robert Walters confessed to several burglaries, and Juan in a Million has provided video allegedly depicting Walters in the store. The details:
Police said officers received a call on Nov. 4 that $192 in cash, five bank money bags and a money lock box had been stolen from the popular East Austin taco joint.
Two days later, officers responded to nearby burglaries at Mr. Natural's and Mr. Mac's grocery. Police said Robert Walters confessed to that burglary. Walters' relatives later came forward as an officer was investigating a robbery at Rio's Brazilian Cafe, saying they had found items in their house and trash cans outside, including six money bags and a payroll check from Juan in a Million. Police found other items linked to the burglary at Rio's Brazilian Cafe.
