Night of 50,000 Lives at Sway; Official Drink of Austin

SOUTH FIRST — Sway is teaming up with the Red Cross for an event they're calling "Night of 50,000 Lives." Executive Chef Alexis Chong will prepare a five-course menu with beverage pairings for one hundred guests on Thursday, February 13. BOOZEWIRE — The Austin Food and Wine Alliance is hosting their Official Drink of Austin competition again this year. The competition to create the best Texas-centric cocktails and bar food will take place between six of Austin's top bars, including Qui, Midnight Cowboy, and Drink.Well. The competitition takes place on February 20, at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center. The $65 ticket will help raise funds for the organization's culinary grants. [Eaterwire]
