Hightower Launches Happy Hour; Star Bar Fundraiser; Henri's Getting Into the Coffee Business

EAST SEVENTH — The Hightower has been open for less than a week, and they have already launched a happy hour. Everyday from 5-7 p.m. they offer $1 off wells, house wines, Dos Equis draft, Miller Lite bottles and Tecate cans, plus select cocktails. [Eaterwire]

WEST SIXTH — Star Bar is throwing a fundraiser tonight for their general manager Nathan Nyberg, who had to return home to San Diego after his parents were in a devastating car accident. Since planes were grounded due to weather, Nyberg packed up his car and drove to California. Star Bar is raising money to make sure he can stay for as long as needed; they're asking for a $5 donation tonight. [Eaterwire]

SOUTH LAMAR — Today's Food-o-File notes that Henri's Cheese and Wine is expanding into the coffee business. They will feature a "walk-up counter offering a full-service coffee operation" in the near future. [Chronicle]
