WEST AUSTIN — The Chronicle reports that longtime neighborhood bar Deep Eddy Cabaret is up for sale. The owners are not looking to sell to the highest bidder, however. Bartender Tony Kuninger says, "I'd be very surprised if they were to sell the Eddy to someone who wouldn't promise to take care of the staff and keep its unique character and spirit alive."
