The Hightower has announced on Facebook that they are now officially open on East 7th, after a weekend of rumors that they were ready to launch. CultureMap reported the opening yesterday, and noted that the restaurant will focus on "quality, simplicity and affordability."

The restaurant is helmed by the former chef and GM of the shuttered El Arbol, Chad Dolezal and Victor Farnsworth. The partners told Eater last fall that their aim is to create an affordable neighborhood restaurant focused on high-quality New American cuisine. Nothing on the menu is over $18, and offerings include a roasted pork jowl and house-smoked tofu. The Hightower will be open starting today at 5pm Tuesday-Sunday.
