Over at Texas Monthly's BBQ blog, Daniel Vaughn takes Josh Ozersky to task for the latter's blog post declaring that "brisket sucks." Vaughn calls the comment "[d]ismissive and disingenuous," especially because Aaron Franklin has just returned from Meatopia London, a festival organized by Ozersky. Ozersky's Meatopia Texas is kicking off the same weekend as the Texas Monthly BBQ Fest, but don't accuse Vaughn of sour grapes: his fest is already sold out. [TMBBQ]
