DOWNTOWN — Austoberfest is coming to the Austin Saengerrunde, which is a really fun word to say out loud, at 1607 San Jacinto Blvd. on September 28 from 1-6PM. Foodways Texas will present the event, at a venue that was originally a German singing club founded in 1879. The $35 ticket will get attendees all-you-can-eat German-style grub from purveyors like Louie Mueller Barbecue, Frank, La Barbecue, Easy Tiger, and Salty Sow. BRYKER WOODS — Olive & June will be hosting a pasta and wine dinner on September 16, featuring Tuscan wines from visiting winemakers Emilia Nardi of Tenute Silvio Nardi and Giovanna Moretti of Tenuta Sette Ponti. NORTH LOOP — Drink.Well has launched some late summer/early fall additions to their menu (because only Austin is September "late summer," ugh), including cocktails like a gimlet with house-made lime cordial and a "Shrub n' Tug" featuring salted watermelon shrub.
