After coming to a standstill with the city over parking issues, Flat Top Burger Shop will close its doors temporarily in "three weeks." Meanwhile, El Chile on Manor, which is owned by the same restaurant group, will re-open "due to popular demand." El Chile shuttered in the Manor Road location, and moved down to South First in June. Previously, owner Carlos Rivera had discussed re-opening Red House Pizza or opening a 'Peruvian cafe' in the Manor road space.
Flat Top reports that their staff will move to the resurrected El Chile, and it is possible their offerings will appear on the lunch menu, but those details are still being worked out. The changes stem from the city requiring Flat Top to remove their outside tables, which cut their seating in half.
