LISTICLESUSA Today has launched a big ol' listicle focus on Austin today. Articles include twelve "classic" dining experiences in Austin, in which "classic" seems to mean "this list will contain absolutely no surprises, but hey, isn't Uchi good?"; a list of "where the locals eat" which features newer restaurants like Mettle and Jeffrey's but also stalwart Wink; and a rundown of best "cheap eats" like Gourdough's and Juan in a Million. They also posted a feature on Austin Eats Food Tours. All of these articles appear to be a part of an Austin food and wine overview, not that one could ever tell as much from the paper's bizarre website. [USA Today]

QUI NOTESAustin Home digs into Qui's architecture, and details Paul Qui's collaboration with architecture firm A Parallel. Revelations include that the restaurant started out with "a really low budget" that kept increasing, and that Paul Qui's favorite part of the restaurant is the patio, which he calls "a really chill space."
