Dallas Tapas Veteran to Open Tapas on Sixth in 2014

The owners of Dallas's Si Tapas are opening a "small, authentic Spanish tapas restaurant" on East 6th St. adjacent to The Brixton in January or February of 2014.

Ildefonso and Susy Jimenez have been waiting a long time for a chance to open a restaurant in Austin, and they chose the East 6th St. location because it's "up and coming." Jimenez hails originally from Spain and has been in the tapas business for over thirty years. In 1990, he opened Texas's first tapas restaurant, Dallas's Cafe Madrid.
