The Statesman reports today that Winebelly, a tapas and wine bar in the old Green Muse space on Oltorf, is soft open and will open officially on Thursday. The Tran family, who own the Hai Ky restaurants, has launched the South Austin spot with a menu focused on bar snacks like shishito peppers and the ubiquitous truffle fries, as well as larger tapas plates featuring classics like a patatas-bravas-inspired "crispy potatoes" and larger bites like skirt steak and fried quail.
Eater spoke with Winebelly and confirmed their opening on Thursday, as well as clarified their hours. Winebelly is open seven days a week for bar snacks from 3-5PM, and will feature their full menu from 5PM-midnight. They will also have a Sunday brunch from 11-3PM.
