SOUTH AUSTIN — The ABGB, a restaurant and brewery from the folks behind the Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company, is getting close to opening. According to their Facebook page, they received their certificate of occupancy and just have to "get our staff trained and put on some finishing touches." [Eaterwire]

DOWNTOWNMulberry will be hosting a five-year anniversary dinner this Sunday, August 25, from 4-7 PM. A representative says, "For $5 we will be serving a bowl of fideua, a Valencian style fish pasta, along with a glass of white sangria." Reservations can be made at 512-320-0297. [Eaterwire]

WEST CAMPUSFINO will be hosting the next round of Olamaie pop-up dinners, also on Sunday, August 25. The southern-focused spot will have two more pop-ups in Austin, one at Lenoir on September 23, and an additional night at ASTI on September 25, before their projected opening downtown this winter. Reservations for Sunday's pop-up can be made here.
