NO VA Kitchen and Bar opens tonight, and Eater photographer Patrick Michels stopped by to photograph the design-forward Rainey Street space. According to the restaurant, the name NO VA, which means "doesn't go" or "doesn't fit" in Spanish, is a reference to the building's departure from the Craftsman-inspired Rainey aesthetic. Go-to Austin designer Joel Mozersky was responsible for the renovation, and the restaurant includes two levels of dining and an outdoor patio space.

Helmed by 'Next Food Network Star' alum Brad Sorenson, NO VA will focus on dinner service with a menu featuring "homespun twists on upscale classics." There will also be a late night bar menu. Dining at the moment is reservation-only, available by phone at (512) 382-5651. NO VA will be open Tuesday- Wednesday 5pm-12am and Thursday-Saturday 5pm-1:30am.
