Hotly anticipated Rainey Street newcomer NO VA will open its doors on Tuesday August 20th for reservation-only service. The first Austin-based restaurant from "The Next Food Network Star" alum Brad Sorenson, NO VA will focus on a dinner service of "homespun twists on upscale classics," in line with the concept Sorenson shared with Mike Sutter back in February. The clean, modern design by Joel Mozersky is a step outside of the Rainey Street look as well. NO VA is not ignoring the Rainey Street bar scene entirely; it will also feature a late night menu focused on pizza and tacos.
Chef Sorenson's menu includes "Corn Gnocchi with brown butter, roasted bell pepper and fava beans," and " "Cheeseburger" Tartare with onion bun, parmesan and little pickles." A dessert offering of Blueberry Donut Holes "fried to order" will feature a lavender dipping sauce.
Reservations are available now by phone at (512) 382-5651. NO VA will be open Tuesday- Wednesday 5pm-12am and Thursday-Saturday 5pm-1:30am.
