Kicking out gay patrons: a terrible business strategy. Over the weekend, Austin gay and lesbian activists held a kiss-in at Red Room to protest the club allegedly kicking out gay patrons. On Friday, The Chronicle reported "unsubstantiated rumors" that the club had folded, but the kiss-in footage still shows the signage up. Today, Queerbomb posted a photo on their Facebook page that shows the Red Room's signs have been taken down.

Meanwhile, pity poor Red Room Lounge nearby on E. 3rd street. A Yelp reviewer kindly clarified that "this is not the Red Room excluding gay people."
