Alamo Drafthouse, the ever-expanding Austin-based cinema eatery, will open its largest location yet on July 22 in northwest Austin. The Alamo Drafthouse Lakeline will feature an ape-themed lobby (the new south Austin Slaughter location's an ode to toothy flora, very Little Shop Of Horrors) and they're inviting patrons to get their gorilla on for an opening week screening of Planet of the Apes. From the official press release sent today:

"I built the original Lake Creek Alamo with my own two hands," said Tim League, Alamo Drafthouse CEO and Founder. "I am excited that more skilled craftsmen than myself have replaced it with a brand new state-of-the-art cinema for the neighborhood."
Alamo announced plans for the Lakeline location in March 2012, with the new cinema slated to include a craft-focused bar "for beer lovers with a robust selection of brews on tap," to sate drinkers enjoying 10 screens of gastro-film goodness.
