Truck Packed With Pork Catches Fire, Shuts Down I35

If your olfactory senses detect a lingering smell of bacon amid a cloud of oily fire-stank, you may be getting a whiff of the truck full of pork belly that caught fire earlier this afternoon at Oltorf and I35. Via KXAN:

The vehicle loaded with pork bellies was fully engulfed in flames and the smoke could be seen from miles away. The driver was able to get out without being injured, but a dog he was riding with died in the flames, officials said.
A couple of southbound I35 lanes are expected to reopen around 4 p.m. KXAN has video of the accident.
