What Is Austin's Best Greasy Spoon?

Perhaps it's that pesky word "greasy" in "greasy spoon" that keeps the small, cheap, diner-style restaurants of the world from getting the respect they deserve. But no longer! Eater Austin wants to hear where readers go when they're looking for an affordable, no-frills meal at a no-frills kind of place. The kind of place diners depend on, for example, now that they can't grab a plate at the sadly shuttered Arkie's.

But just because we say "diner-style" doesn't mean we're looking exclusively for traditional American diner food. If there's a greasy spoon that serves up your favorite menudo, pho or sushi (okay, maybe that last one's a bit of a stretch), let us know in the comments section or send us your recommendation down the tipline. And don't forget to tell us why you love your favorite spot so much.
