Mettle, the "east side bistro" from entrepreneur Bridget "Queen of Rainey Street" Dunlap, with Olivia veteran chef Andrew Francisco in the kitchen, opened last week with a medley of a menu that includes fried chicken, mussels, Chinese broccoli, crab soup and more.
Eater Austin sent photographer Spencer Selvidge over for a look inside the 4,000 square foot restaurant, which features a floor-to-ceiling sculpture from Austin's Ion Art, an original painting by Ian Shults and a glass sculpture from the East Side Glass Studio's Leigh Taylor Wyatt that hangs from the ceiling.
Mettle is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a brunch menu "coming soon."
