Adios, Manor Road! El Chile Reopens On South First

El Chile has officially made its move from Manor Road down to South First Street, opening in the former La Reyna location, in a space reimagined by designer Joel Mozersky, he of Uchi, Highball, Malverde and La Condesa fame.

Chef Jeff Martinez has made the move with El Chile, saying in a press release last month that "a new location, new dishes and a new kitchen space are all great twists to any restaurant that has been around for a while."

As for the destiny of the old location? Owner Carlos Rivero has said he's hanging on to the spot, and that he's "considering several ideas" such as reopening the shuttered Red House Pizzeria or starting a supper club, but "the front runner is a Peruvian cafe."
