New York, Portland, Los Angeles and Chicago can sustainably stick it: Sir Paul McCartney, along with PETA, has declared Austin the most vegan-friendly city in America. The former Beatle wrote a letter to the mayor saying, "The influx of forward-thinking musicians and techies, the thriving University, and the food trucks all over the city run by young veg-friendly hipsters have made Austin the absolute cutting-edge place for green eating."
