La Condesa's Herman: L.A. Expansion On Hold For Hotel

Restaurateur Jesse Herman, whose Violet Crown Management group is behind downtown's La Condesa and South First's Sway, has had plans for a Los Angeles location of La Condesa in the works for about a year, but he's put the Southern California project on the back burner to focus on an unnamed Austin hotel project. Via Eater Los Angeles:

"At some point in the near future" he would like to bring the concept to LA, but likely in a new location. With it he would also consider a branch of his modern Thai restaurant, Sway.
