Downtown's first ramen shop, Daruma Ramen, has softly opened on East Sixth Street. It's a "sister restaurant" to Komé, the Airport Boulevard sushi spot from chefs Také and Kayo Asazu, who got their start in town with the Sushi A-Go-Go food truck. Here's their soft opening announcement, with hours of operation:
We are doing soft opening until April 4th (mon-fri, 11:30-2:30, 5:30-10:30, Sat 5:30-10:30 Sun closed) at our sister restaurant "Daruma Ramen"! Please come and try our Whole Chicken Base Ramen! There's no menu available online as of yet, but customer posts on their Facebook page seem to indicate that Daruma's got what may be the few vegan ramens in town—for now, Ramen Tatsu-Ya offers a vegan option on Sundays.
UPDATE: Thanks to @Alex_Bernardin for grabbing this photo of the Daruma menu and sending it along!
