Soto, a Japanese restaurant with a "touch of French influence," has opened up north in Lakeline Plaza with chef Andy Chen at the helm. Owner Leo Xu told Eater Austin about the restaurant last fall:
Soto's philosophy is to integrate the best food ingredients from all over the globe and the fresh seasonal ingredients from local Texas farms with our upscale culinary skills; Soto is specialized in traditional Japanese cuisine with a touch of French influence; at Soto, each dish created is made with care, artistry and a deep level of detail; in Japanese language, "soto" means "world of outside", and we want our customers to see things different from what they usually see at other restaurants.Keep an eye on their Facebook page for deals and specials, as they seem to be fond of handing out free snacks and drinks to their online fans.
